Figure 6.5 shows the reconstructed signal recovered from first five Eigen modes using both the methods (SSA and FHSSA) along with original signal. The signal reconstructed using FHSSA is almost matching with original signal where as the output of SSA deviated. Apart from the signal reconstruction accuracy, the classical methods require (9 × 16 × 16): 2304 FLOPS whereas the FHSSA requires only ((5 × 8 × 8) + (4 × 9 × 9)), 644 FLOPS. Here the method employed only two-step factorization. Number of square or rectangular factors into which the trajectory matrix can be factorized to cut the computational time and cost is solely dependent on the length of the data series. This factorization will not deter any valuable information contained in the data.
